Jose is a Senior Associate at Preiskel & Co and is dual qualified in England & Spain. He has been practising for more than eight years in City law firms and has international experience advising clients on telecoms, technology, commercial, remote gambling and data protection law.

Jose provides regulatory advice to fixed and wireless communications companies in the UK in all aspects of the UK communications legal framework, including compliance with Ofcom’s general conditions of entitlement, auctions of radio spectrum licences, premium rate services (PRS), artificially inflated traffic (AIT), mobile content and numbering.

He also advises companies on compliance with e-commerce, online marketing, consumer (including distance selling) and data protection legislation and regularly drafts terms of use for websites including user generated content websites. His expertise in the technology sector also covers remote gambling (i.e. gaming, betting).

Jose is experienced in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, mostly with a telecoms or technology element, such as re-seller, MVNO and iPBX agreements on the telecoms side, and software licences, software development, online marketing and IT consultancy agreements, on the technology side.

He routinely advices Spanish clients on English matters, and has also negotiated contracts with Latin America based companies and operators, on behalf of several international clients.

On the corporate side, Jose provides general corporate advice to clients, including drafting and reviewing shareholders agreements, articles of association and share purchase agreements.
