Stephan is a specialised telecoms, media and technology lawyer who is dually qualified in England and Germany.  He routinely advises on corporate, commercial, e-commerce, data protection, intellectual property, telecoms and regulatory matters.  

He regularly drafts and negotiates commercial agreements such as distribution, agency, partnership and consultancy agreements as well as mobile content agreements (including mobile payment solution agreements). Many of these commercial agreements include technology and telecoms elements such as MVNO, MVNE, service provider and reseller agreements. Stephan also provides regulatory advice to telecoms companies (for example recently on premium rate service regulations and termination rates).

Stephan frequently advises companies on their compliance with e-commerce, e-money, consumer protection (distance selling) and data protection regulations and drafts end user terms & conditions as well as terms of use for clients' websites on a regular basis. Stephan has also advised game developers on intellectual property right issues in video games and user generated content websites on questions of liability for third party content.

His recent corporate work includes drafting shareholders' agreements, share option schemes and share purchase agreements. He regularly advises international clients on the incorporation of UK companies/subsidiaries in the United Kingdom.

Stephan also lectures on IT outsourcing on the LLM in Computer and Communications Law at the Centre for Commercial Law Studies at Queen Mary, University of London.
